Year 7 Open Morning

posted 10 Nov 2014, 07:53 by Matthew Shenton   [ updated 10 Nov 2014, 07:57 ]
It is amazing to think that Year 7 pupils are now half way into their first term at Four Dwellings Academy – how time flies!

Year 7 pupils have settled in extremely well with them telling us in a recent survey that 97% are happy at school, 96% feel safe and that they “really enjoy lessons because they are fun and the teachers are safe and strict". The team building activities at Blackwell Court were also very popular; as are the extra-curricular and homework support sessions.

To round off the induction process we are inviting Year 7 parents/carers into the Academy to meet pastoral staff and tutors, see some examples of work and ask any questions. This event will be held as an informal drop in morning on Friday 28th November 2014 from 9.15am to 10.30am.

Year 7 parents/carers have recently received their child’s first ‘Interim Report’. This report outlines progress made in lessons, attendance and punctuality and details of any rewards or sanctions received. Any questions about the report can also be discussed at the above event. If you are unable to attend the open morning the report can be discussed by contacting Mr Shenton at the Academy.

A letter was sent home with all Year 7 pupils today - please complete the reply slip and return it to your child’s tutor by Friday 14th November 2014.
